At K2 Events, we offer services for a wide variety of events, and have decor options appropriate for intimate gatherings and large galas alike. But how do we stock and prep enough pieces for our larger events? Does it make sense to purchase and store 50 of the same centerpiece, or is there a better and more efficient way?
Enter the “rotating tablescape.”
We use the term rotating tablescape to denote a decor room layout that uses a few unique, yet cohesive, table displays to provide variety and volume to an otherwise limited inventory. Here are 5 reasons that rotating displays are a great choice for your event:
- Centerpieces that vary in height allow guests to view the room (and perhaps the fundraising happening onstage) more easily. Imagine an attendee sitting at the back of a large ballroom holding 500 people attempting to watch a presenter through a sea of tall floral displays. This wouldn’t be the ideal view for your guest and might inhibit their experience, or even their donation. Reserving tall or voluminous displays for a few, strategically spaced, tables allows for that “wow factor” without impeding upon your guest’s sight-lines.
- Rotating centerpieces give an “eye-candy” experience to the viewer. As guests wander the room, they’ll pick up on the individuality and nuance of each table. Give your event visual appeal by offering a variety of harmonious displays with a mix of color, texture, height and even lighting.
- Providing variety in decor makes each tablescape more special. Having 30 of the exact same display doesn’t allow for that centerpiece to have the same appeal. Even the most elaborate or extravagant pieces can start to feel redundant when viewed en masse. Highlighting just a few of your most show-stopping pieces allows them to shine and draw attention instead of blending into the background.
- Allowing clients to choose more than one tablescape gives them the freedom and flexibility to pick a few appealing options, as opposed to locking into one stand-alone choice. Picking decor is fun and exciting! Why not find 2 or 3 eye-catching displays that tie together the theme of your event?
